This Strategic School Improvement Capital Budget (SSICB) package brought together a wide range of essential upgrades across the school site, addressing long-standing issues and creating safer, more functional spaces for students and staff. With a total value of approximately £4. 4m, the works covered multiple spaces, from building fabric repairs to major service replacements. The improvement works were procured as 5 packages, and managed by single contractor, with all the works being completed within restricted time frames over a 12-month period to meet DfE funding requirements and the school’s wider curriculum delivery plan. Breaking the improvements down into different packages allowed all parties to manage and balance the scope of works whilst ensuring the school remained open and functional. The projects effective management enabled key areas to be delivered in both term time and school holiday periods. The scope included two packages, a Canteen Expansion and a Food Technology Provision, delivered separately.
