Project Background
AEC delivered a comprehensive, refurbishment and remodelling of the kitchen and dining facilities at an all-girls school. The scheme involved the full removal of obsolete catering provisions to create a modern kitchen environment capable of serving up to 800 meals, including capacity to supply other local schools.
The project introduced new specialist catering equipment, upgraded mechanical and electrical systems, and improvements to ventilation, power distribution and water services.
Internally, the dining area was remodelled with contemporary finishes and a new purpose-designed servery to enhance flow and user experience.
The completed scheme has transformed the facilities into a modern, efficient catering hub aligned with the school’s operational and community ambitions.
Original Kitchen Facilities
The existing kitchen layout and equipment reflected decades of incremental changes, limiting efficiency, workflow and future capacity. The space required full modernisation to support the school’s expanding catering provision.
